When do you think is the perfect time to reach your goals? Why are you still waiting for that perfect timing? Why rely on it to come when you can create for that perfect timing to happen right now?
People usually believe that everything happens in its perfect time. But why are we relying on that perfect time? Why don’t we create it and make it happen now? Are you using the words “perfect timing” because you are scared everything might not go as you expect it to be? Forget the doubts and fear, now is the perfect timing. You create that perfect timing; you make it happen.
Everything will come to you at the right time in your life is a mantra many people live by and they love to preach it to others. I’m sure that people in your social circle have told you to take it easy and to ‘enjoy life’ when you tell them how excited you are about your goals.
The first time they told you this you probably welcomed it as a genuine tip, but after a while of constantly repeating the same ‘advice’ it gets annoying. This can be really bothering, especially when it’s coming from the people that you care about the most. The key is to not let their influence affect your decision to go for your goals. I believe that if you really want something then you shouldn’t stop for anything.
Below are the 4 reasons why you should take massive action on your dreams:
1. History tells you the truth
Have you ever heard a successful person talking about how achieving success went really smooth without any obstacle to overcome or sacrifices to make? You don’t, because there are none. Also, have you ever talked about success with just a random person, who didn’t achieve something huge, but just lives an ordinary life like 99% of the people do? You probably have, and they probably were emphasizing how much effort and time you have to invest to become successful.
The difference between these two types of people should tell you enough. Your dream lifestyle doesn’t exist yet, however we’re fortunate enough that we’re able to manifest that lifestyle by putting in the work and time. Many people have been in your shoes and those same people worked hard and smart to achieve their goals and dreams. So, listen to the advice of your friends, but take the advice from the successful people if you want to become one yourself.
“A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.” – Colin Powell
2. Time is scarce
The one thing you should worry about when you’re in doubt about pursuing your dreams or staying in your comfort zone is the matter of time. The longer you stay indecisive, the more valuable time you lose that you could have otherwise spent so much better.
You shouldn’t feel rushed by time, because most likely you won’t achieve the success you desire overnight. However, at the same time you should feel some sense of urgency, because the sooner you start working towards your goals, the faster you’ll get to the place you want to be.
3. Over-delivering brings in more opportunities
There are two types of people on how they approach ‘work’: one just meets the requirements and the other one wants to excel at what he/she does. Be the latter one, because the first one is the attitude of mediocre people. They want to do everything in life with as little effort as possible. That’s why these people never achieved the life they really wanted for themselves.
When you go all in on what you do then not only will the results be much better, but you’ll also leave a good impression on other people. When you consistently over-deliver, people start to acknowledge your achievements and want to get in contact with you, because who wouldn’t want to work with someone who gives his 110% effort in everything.
4. It’s your life
You should not dismiss the advice that you get from people who you know have your best interest at heart. However, at the end of the day you should be the one that’s in control of the decisions that you make in your life. For example, if you always dreamed about having your own multi-million dollar business that employs more than 100 people then who has the right to stop you?
Or maybe you always wanted to have your own restaurant in the town where you grew up. The choice is yours. You are the person who has to deal with the regret, in 10 years from now, if you decide not to pursue your dreams. The people who tell you that you shouldn’t go after your dreams will be fine either way.
Going all in on your vision doesn’t mean that you have to drop everything and focus on only what you want. Instead, it means that you should prioritize what makes you feel happy and fulfilled, because at the end of the day you are your longest commitment. Every person has something unique to offer to the world so don’t let your dream just be a dream.
“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” –Harriet Tubman
